Support Our Men – Wear Blue Friday – June 15

June is Men’s Health Month

Early Detection is Key

Take action to be healthy and safe and encourage men and boys in your life to make their health a priority. Certain diseases and conditions may not have symptoms, so checkups help identify issues early or before they can become a problem.

WEAR BLUE FRIDAY – June 15

Show your concern for the health and well-being of boys and men!

Disease can often be prevented when people make healthy choices. Encourage your ‘ohana to make small changes:

Vaccinate Against Some Cancers

Gardasil is a vaccine given to BOTH preteen girls and boys to reduce risk of various types of cancer from the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Often, cancers of the back of the throat and cancers of the anus/rectum usually aren’t detected until later stages when they are difficult to treat. HPV vaccination can prevent many of these cancers from ever developing. Throat cancer has outpaced cervical cancer as the most common HPV-related cancer, and has risen more than 225% in the last decade.
