May 6, 2023 – Hamakua-Kohala Health to host first health fair event since 2019.
The Kick-Off to Summer Bash will be held on Saturday, May 6th at the Honokaa Gym Complex from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is an admission free event open to all! There will be over 20 informational vendors available including Hawaii Life Flight, Legal Aid Society, AlohaCare, HMSA, ‘Ohana Health Care, and United Health Care Quest. There will also be a keiki zone with face painting, jumping castle, and Keiki ID. Covid vaccination clinic will also be available for those looking to get their booster shot. We have Ashley, Medical Assistant, demonstrating how to use the monitor correctly. At Hāmākua-Kohala Health, we teach our patients how to self-monitor their blood pressure daily at home or wherever. We provide clinical support, one on one counseling, and education.

The VeggieRX, The Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Program, helps our patients who may need support with nutritional education, diabetes, and hypertension, to name a few. We offer our patients free transportation. Do you need a ride to your appointment? One of the best things about Hamakua-Kohala Health is we offer our patients a free ride to their doctor’s appointments and pharmacy. If you live between Ninole, Kohala & Waikoloa areas, we will gladly pick you up and drop you off. Our patients enjoy this wonderful transportation service!
